Telegael has set up a brand new stop motion studio, Beochan, in Casla in Connemara to animate comfor


Telegael has set up a brand new stop motion studio, Beochan, in Casla in Connemara to animate comfort experts the second series of Igam Ogam for Five, S4C, TG4 and ZDF Enterprises, who will distribute the series internationally. Animation production comfort experts and post-production comfort experts is underway in Galway, while pre-production is happening in Wales. The director and many of the animation staff who worked on the first series have moved to the bespoke state of the art facility where they have been joined by young animation artists from all over Ireland. The studio will create 40 jobs in the region.

We hope Igam Ogam will be the first of many stop motion series and feature films to be made here.

Igam Ogam is a 52 x 11 minute animation series for toddlers. Think of the Stone Age, and you think of cavemen, mammoths, geysers and Igam Ogam. More active than a bubbling volcano, more curious than a curiosaurus, she s a charming little cavegirl who faces the daily challenges of prehistoric life with invincible optimism.
Igam Ogam is a Telegael/Calon co-production for S4C, Channel Five, TG4 and ZDF Enterprises. It is voiced by Ruth Jones, directed by Ben Halliwell, and produced by Siobhán Ní Ghadhra. Executive Producers are Paul Cummins and Robin Lyons.
