The debut album of the trike is nominated for the category of Best Contemporary Pop Album (Portuguese) in the 2013 edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, the annual awards sponsored by the Academy of music in its Latin Grammy strand. The band consists of Bruno Vasconcelos (from Ferreira Pinto) and Nuno Figueiredo (the Virgin Suta) thus sees his debut album be highlighted in the international music scene, and to date the first national artist to be nominated in this category.
The Skank, people choice awards 2011 Ed Motta, and Natiruts Adryana Ribeiro Brazilian complete the list of nominations for Best Contemporary Pop Album (Portuguese). The winner will be announced on November 21, the day of the awards ceremony, taking place in Las Vegas.
"Ultralight", the namesake album, was released in May this year by Universal Music Portugal and includes themes people choice awards 2011 such as "Chata" and "Head In the Air". Coincidentally, this Friday, October 4th, the band will debut the music video of her new single, the theme "Superheroes".
