French film by Austrian director Michael Haneke entering into our cinemas typically February 14, 2013, became one of the most important films of the past year. He aroused much attention and is proud of the Palme d'Or eisa 2011 at the Cannes festival, where, however, Haneke was awarded for the first time (which won the Palme d'Or here in 2009 for his film The White Ribbon). Far more surprising was this year's five Oscar nominations, particularly Award nomination for Best Film as well as Best Foreign Language Film, which conservative academics unusually honor the European region and an art film. But why just love so captivated?
Under very specific name Love can imagine anything romantic idyll, however, since Haneke, perhaps no one expected. Director deals with themes of old age and death, themes which society rather overlooked. Maybe to surprise us with what realism and candor, the author shows even the most delicate scenes, which include, for example, changing diapers aging protagonist. Haneke shy away from anything even neromantizuje. Yet we neither offend nor neznechucuje shot - shot us on the contrary makes it clear that this is a natural part of life, a common situation that can meet every one of us.
As in his other films (eg. Benny's eisa 2011 Video, 1992 Utajený, 2005), Haneke attention fixed on the Love bourgeois married couple with traditional names of Anne and Georges. This time, tells the story of older couple showing their life together after his wife's stroke. Man wants to fulfill her wish to take care of her at home, rather than put it into a hospital or nursing home. The difficult situation has got steadily worse until it results in a tragic end.
But one of the early scenes throughout the film move only in the apartment spouses. Spacious apartment is furnished in an elegant style and can seem like a nice place, but as the plot becomes the characters more and more unbearable. Spouses are bound by a common past of space, eisa 2011 and later also Anna's illness - Georges in the apartment holding the care of paralyzed wife again her own immobility. Initially, we see both together - a meal in the kitchen, while relaxing in the parlor - the more it becomes intolerable situation, the more time they spend couple separately. Their formerly harmonious relationship is seriously disrupted. Not only do they alienate themselves but begin to isolate themselves even before its vicinities, especially in front of his daughter. The closed flat but gradually begin to suffocate and both crave escape, which is not possible. Anne tries to hasten death by refusing food, Georges is trying to get out, at least in their dreams. But when the camera finds himself outside eisa 2011 the apartment, everything ends in tragedy and Georges wakes up screaming.
The plight is not only visible eisa 2011 on the psychological manifestations of actors, but also the effects on us through formal means. In a bare and dark lobby often we are viewed from another room and with long static shots are beginning to realize that the apartment becomes a watchful eisa 2011 observer eisa 2011 of its inhabitants, jailer, before which we can not escape. Through such views to be Anne and Georges become participants in the story, one of the main characters. The highlight is after a few minutes of the film, where we see only on canvas paintings of landscapes, which are crowded apartment. Interspersed with paintings depicting vast meadows, rough sea and horizon with flying eisa 2011 birds symbolizing freedom and open space, after which the couple are desperate. Look at these paintings can mean comfort, but also a sense of hopelessness. Therefore, at the Georges decides drastic, but justifiable act that is both deliver them from their misery. Only at that moment will be the first time faded in, the doors and windows open and inside are finally getting air.
Important in the film plane takes off mise en scène and music, even though there may seem inconsequential, because it does not appear too often. However, the absence of a musical motif in the film has its place. The past Anne and Georges eisa 2011 during the film many know, but the fact that their life is connected with music, specifically eisa 2011 the classic, is known to us from the beginning. The story begins at the piano concerto Anna's former pupil. Here, the first and last leaves diegetic music framework. Theme exceeds the next shot on the way home from the theater, where both spouses are still full of satisfaction. After Anna's stroke, however, appears eisa 2011 less and less music. Anne illness separates from its lifetime fillings and the music becomes more and more imaginary. First, we listen to a live concert, then the music plays only the CD player, and eventually disappearing altogether. In the closing credits we hear nothing but silence, through which we can experience the undisturbed fade away.
Haneke film is very raw, rough and utterly exhausting mentally
